Book Bus visit at Baylor-US Embassy

Three days Book Bus visit program was conducted by US Embassy from June 12 to June 15 in the organization of BIA. The primary motive of the program was to introduce the students with the bus library, learning with science and technology and learn more about the different activities of the program mentioned below.

The main attraction of this program was the bus with books(bus library),  Balloon Rocket, BB Reading, Maker space and speech on civil Rights. On the last day of the program, volunteers were farewelled with the appreciation letter. According to students, all most all of them were benefitted from the program and knew how to learn with the help of Science & Technology.

English Handwriting Competition was organized on the date 2075/03/03 . There was a tough competition among students which was a situation of dilemma to us to determine winners. There were three teachers Sangita Khatri, Sumi Shrestha and Manju Sapkota to supervise this competition. This Competition was divided into two levels i.e. 5, 6, 7 1^st Level and 8,9,10 2^nd Level.

From 1^st level winners are:

Sudarshan Timalsina- 1^st position [7A]

Ajju KC- 2^nd position [5B]

Samipa Lama- 3^rd Position [6A]

Similarly, from 2^nd level

Mandira Chimouria – 1^st Position [9B]

Puspanjali Bista- 2^nd Position [10B]

Alish Karki- 3^rd Postion[9B]

Prize distribution was there on the date 2075/03/06 by Executive Director Mrs. Indu Thapa. We entire team of Baylor International Academy heartily wished congratulation to all winners.

According to the school calendar, under the CCA, activity, speech competition was held on. It was done among the students of lower secondary level on the topic “Importance of Discipline” and in the second phase among the students of secondary level on the topic”Preservation of Environment in Modern Era.”

Competition was tough . All the students were very enthusiastic to present their views . So, the programme was very interesting and awesome.

Executive Director, Mrs. Indu Thapa , the chairman of the programme was feeling proud and happy by observing the performance of the students and said that such kind of programme ensures the overall development of the students.

The judges (Ravi Bhattarai, sumi Shrestha, Sangita Khatri) evaluated the speeches in many aspects including contents, language skill, performance quality , etc. An award ceremony was held in which from secondary level Padma Mainali(10A) Secured 1^st position, 2^nd Position by Sony Tamang(9A)and 3^rd by Mandira Chimouria (9B) . Similarly from lower secondary level 1^st position was hold by N.S Bikram Pandey (6A), 2^nd Position was hold by Arshima Khadka(5B) and 3^rd position by Sanskriti Sapkota(5A).

                                                                             Gathering Programme

This is to notify all the passed out students of grade 12 of this Academy that school is going to organize the gathering programme of passed out students of Batch 2072, 2073 & 2074(grade 12 Science & Management). So, students are requested to be present on the programme as the schedule mentioned below.

And addressing the programme, operational system new academic plan, our special features, duties and responsibility of parents were presented by Mrs. Indu Thapa, Executive Director.

At the end closing the programme Managing Director of BIA Mr. Pawan Kumar Thapa spoke on the importance of Parents school relation, new academic plan and the importance of Chinese, English, French language. He also spoke on the role played by Baylor regarding Cambridge University Test classes, British Council. He also spoke in the importance of ECA & CCA and their co-relation.

In the programme Academic Director Mr. Anup Jung Thapa, Level incharges were also present and the programme was conducted by school Vice principal Jaya Ram Thapa.

Mr. Aryan Bajagain and Ms. Meghana Bhochhibhoya won the tiltle 2^nd Baylor Little Master and Princess 2018. Baylor International Academy has selected the WINNER from the competition held among the students from Grade one to five. Addressing the Programme Chairman of Baylor International Academy Mr. Bhola Thapa said, “The school is able to present its unique identity. The school is not only providing knowledge from books, but also the life skill education, which is able to left positive impression to parents. Adding his words he said,”This types of programme is fruitful in enhancing the innate ability of the students so, the school is making the students involved in such different activities.’ He promises that ‘proving quality and life skill education we will make Baylor a model school’.

In the programme there were 3 different titles Besides Major title along with 1^st & 2^nd Runner up Mr. Prajaya Banjara and Ms. Segina Bhochhibhoya won the First Runner Up title and 2^nd Runner Up were Mr. Pratik Bista and Dipika Ghimire. Among the Participants Mr. Ivran Basnet and Ms. Priya Drashani Pandey won Best Discipline, Mr. Laxman Thapa and Ms. Ritika Banjara won Best Confident as well Mr. Dawa Sherpa and Ms. Yajaswi Prajapati won Best Friendship.

The Chief Guest of the programme was Mrs. Charu Chand Thakur, Vice President, Mission Himalaya Guests of t he programme were, Mr. Umesh Manadhar, President of Kavre Jycees, Mr. Kapil Koirala, President Press Union Kavre, Mr. Bhuwan Rayamajhi, President Press Chautari . In the programme Managing Director, Mr. Pawan Kumar Thapa, Mrs. Indu Thapa, Executive Director, Academic Director, Dr. Anup Jung Thapa, Director, Ram Kumar Basnet, Mr. Bir Bahadur Thapa, Campus Chief of Dipika Campus, Mrs. Sabina Karanjit, Principal Baylor Kids Castle, Mr. Krishna Hari Humagain, High School Co-ordinator, Mr. Jaya Ram Thapa, School Co-ordinator were present.

In the programme students have present different dance which gives the image of flock culture .At the same day 6-12 students have organized the Exhibition on their own preparation and according to their level and subject . There were different stalls of Travel & Tourism, Hotel Management, Science and Computer. According to Executive Director 1500 people have observed the Exhibition.

On the programme welcome speech was given by Mr. Pawan Thapa Managing Director of Baylor International Academy. The Jury of the programme were Mr. Nirnaya Shrestha ‘NSK’(Performer Artist & Social Activist) Mr. Sachit Khadka(VJ/RJ) and Mrs. Ambika Timalsina(Winner of Mrs. Himalayan).

Note:

Ø The School will remain close on 24th of Falgun for  Exam preparation leave.

Ø The Exam oriented revision classes will start from 8^th of Chaitra.

Ø All the students are requested to collect the admit card before 24th of Falgun  by clearing the due from the account section. Will not be allowed to sit in exam without admit card.

Ø All the students are requested to be present on the Examination compulsorily. If absent in pre board then they will not be allowed to appear in the board examination.

4^th National Touch Rugby Competition 74 was held at Nepal Police School, sanga, Kavrepalanchok last Monday. The tournaments participated by seven schools was organized by National Rugby Association and chaired by Lama Tendi Sherpa Vice Chairman of National Sports Council and General Secretary of National Olympic Committee, as a chief guest . Among the girls teams, Baylor International Academy team was the winner wheras the boys team became the second runner up among the boys teams. Baylor defeated Birat Secondary School, Kathmandu(2-0). Both the boys and girls teams were awarded with medals, certificates and cups by the chief guests. Thanks to the students who participated the tournament with their enthusiast, sportsmanship and discipline.
